Terms of Use

By accessing or submitting the Clinical Review, you agree to be bound by these Terms and confirm that you have read our Privacy Policy. Separate written agreements govern any retreat programme you later book, and those agreements take priority if they conflict with these Terms.

The Clinical Review is an intake questionnaire used to understand your background, goals, and health history, and to prepare for a consultation with our clinical team about Afterlight's psychedelic-assisted therapy retreats in Negril, Jamaica. Completing it does not create a clinician–patient relationship, reserve a place, or guarantee admission to any programme.

We aim to keep the Service available and working correctly, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Content on the Service is general information and is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not stop, start, or change any medication based on anything on the Service without speaking to your own prescribing clinician.

The Clinical Review is not monitored in real time and is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call your local emergency number, or in the United States call or text 988.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. You must complete the Clinical Review about yourself, unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

Our clinical team relies on the information you provide to assess your safety. You agree to provide information that is true, accurate, and complete, including about medications, medical conditions, and mental health history, and to tell us promptly if anything changes before or during any programme. Incomplete or inaccurate information may put your health at serious risk.

Participation in any Afterlight programme is subject to clinical assessment. We may decline, defer, or place conditions on participation, including requiring medical clearance, medication changes supervised by your own clinician, or additional assessments, where we consider it necessary for your safety. Psychedelic-assisted therapy carries risks, and outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

If you opt in, you agree to receive emails and/or text messages from Afterlight Retreats about your Clinical Review enquiry, consultation, appointments, preparation, retreat arrangements, and related service updates. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or of submitting the Clinical Review.

• Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

You confirm that you are the subscriber or authorised user of the phone number you provide, and you agree to tell us if that number changes.

Consultation scheduling is provided through a third-party calendar service. Appointment times are subject to availability and may occasionally need to be rescheduled by us. Any fees, deposits, cancellations, and refunds for retreat programmes are governed by the separate programme agreement you will receive before booking.

You agree not to:

• Submit false information or information about another person without their authority.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or submit the Service.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to, probe, test, or interfere with the Service, its security measures, or connected systems.
• Introduce malware or any harmful code.
• Use the Service for any unlawful, harassing, or fraudulent purpose.
• Copy, scrape, or reproduce the Service or its content for commercial purposes.

The Service and its content, including text, images, the Afterlight name and logo, and the design of the Clinical Review, are owned by or licensed to Afterlight Retreats and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own enquiry. The information you submit remains yours, and we use it only as described in our Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share your personal and health information, and how to exercise your privacy rights. It forms part of these Terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant any particular therapeutic outcome.

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, government action, network outages, or failures of third-party providers.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Afterlight Retreats will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability arising from the Service will not exceed USD 100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited by law. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Before starting formal proceedings, you agree to contact us so that we can try to resolve the matter informally within 30 days. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections provided by the laws of the country where you live.

We may update these Terms from time to time, and the “Last updated” date above will change. Material changes take effect when posted, and continued use of the Service means you accept them. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a reorganisation or sale of our business.
